Together with the information you give us, and our extensive knowledge of yachts and charter destinations, we will be able to prepare a proposal for your consideration.

HOW DO I MAKE DEPOSITS AND PAY THE BALANCE?

HOW LONG SHOULD WE BOOK FOR?
Yachts are typically chartered for a minimum of 3 hours to witness all the sights, quicker charters are available please contact one of our charter executives to understand the terms and conditions for this.

HOW SOON CAN WE GO? HOW FAR AHEAD MUST I BOOOK?
Walidia Yachts can arrange a charter for you next week, or for next year, however, if you would like to secure a particular vessel or if your holiday dates are not flexible, then it is best that you book as early as possible.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO?
Almost every one of the world’s pre-eminent charter regions is influenced by the seasons: there are the good times to be there, and the not so good. This again is where Walidia Yacht’s expertise will add value to your planning – we will advise you of the best time of year to enjoy any nominated destination, and suggest an alternative if this does not suit your requirements.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE IS RECOMMENDED TO BOOK A YACHT?
If you have specific dates and times to execute your charter we recommend you book well in advance. If you are generally flexible, then 3-4 weeks during peak season 1-2 weeks prior during the summer.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND BEVERAGE?
Yes you can, soft drinks and water are complimentary when chartering with Walidia Yachts. We have catering Menus available upon request at a supplement (from AED120pp), please discuss your catering and dietary requirements with your Charter Executive during the booking process. All of our charter yachts’ chefs are experienced and pride themselves on the high standard of cuisine they present their guests.

HOW DO I PLAN AN ITINERARY?
Walidia Yachts eliminates the guesswork for you when it comes to planning the itinerary for your private charter. We will consider your requirements down to the finest detail, and together with your Captain we will prepare a charter plan that meets your desires. This includes your food and beverage preferences, and both the on-board and on-shore activities you like to enjoy, and when and where you want to go etc. Of course once you are on board your itinerary is yours to change as the mood takes, under the guidance of your Captain

WHAT CAN WE DO WHEN ONSHORE?
There are a myriad of opportunities to be explored and enjoyed when you venture ashore from your charter yacht: it all depends on where you are in the UAE. In some destinations you can snorkel or scuba dive into the vibrant world of a coral reef, go fishing for the ‘big ones’, stroll on a deserted soft sand beach, indulge yourself in the serenity of a picnic on an isolated beach, dine five-star in a bustling resort, shop in a brand-name store, purchase trinkets from a beachfront hut, or go on excursions where you take in scenery like you have never seen before. At Walidia Yachts we’ll be happy to provide you this information to add to your itinerary

CAN I BE CONTACTED WHILE AWAY?
The majority of luxury yachts have satellite phone and internet capability (sometimes there is a charge for this service) and most charter destinations have cell/mobile phone service available. Additionally, we can provide the contact details for your charter yacht, for you to distribute to family or friends prior to your departure.

HOW MUCH IS YOUR TOTAL BUDGET?
Walidia Yachts portfolio includes an exceptionally wide range of yachts and charter destinations around the UAE. The costs associated with each of these holiday opportunities are equally diverse: ranging from a few thousand dollars or euros to $500,000 or more. To best assist you in planning your charter, it is important you advise us how much you wish to dedicate to this holiday. This information will allow us to quickly and effectively advise you of the most suitable yachts and itineraries that fit within the bounds of your charter plan.

WHAT IS THE CAPTAIN'S RESPONSIBILITY?
All the Crews aboard the chartered yachts are professionally certificated to ensure that you have the ultimate charter experience with safety. Crews are also trained to provide a high level of service and hospitality on board for everything from fine dining to recreation and using the water toys safely. The Captain will, when necessary, consult with you and always try to accede to your wishes; however he is ultimately responsible for the safety of the vessel and for all those on board, and he has the final call when circumstances demand it.

GRATUITIES: DO I TIP?
While it is at your discretion, it is customary to tip the Captain and crew at the conclusion of a charter for excellent care and service. As a guide, a gratuity of 10-15% of the base charter fee is considered fair, while exceptional service and attention to detail can warrant a tip of 20% or more, but always at your discretion

PAYMENT
ADVANCED CASH PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING
The yacht charter industry works on a first come first served basis, and therefore we request a payment of 100% to secure your booking.
WE SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR NON-AVAILABILITY OF THE OFFERED YACHT (in case of non-payment in advance).

CANCELLATION CLAUSES
Cancellation by the charterer
We will apply the cancellation charges on total event fee, detailed below:

Yachts up to 95 feet
Within 7 days of charter date - 100% of total event fee.
Over 7 days and up to 30 days - 50% of total event fee.
31 days and over - 25% of total event fee.

Yachts 95 feet plus
Within 6 weeks of charter date - 100% of total event fee.
Over 6 weeks and up to 12 weeks from charter date - 75% of total event fee
Above 12 weeks from charter date – 50% of total event fee.
If you cancel your charter you must advise us in writing and the cancellation will be effective from the date this is received. If you have notified us by email, please follow up to check that we have received it.

ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS
In the event of a forecast for bad weather conditions prior to departure, we reserve the right to reschedule to an alternative date. Refunds will not be made for bad weather as this is outside our control. If rough weather should occur during the charter, the Captain will make the decision on whether there is a necessity to alter the planned route, or to return to the marina for safety reasons.

FUEL SURCHARGES
Fuel, at an economical cruising speed (10-15 knots), is included with our UAE charters for cruising within local waters to the marina where the yacht is berthed. High speed cruising is available on request at the discretion of the Captain and will be charged at AED 2,000 per hour, payable in cash at the time of the request. Fuel is not included on charters of over 6 hours.

LOST PROPERTY
If you discover that you have left any personal items on the yacht, please give us a call immediately, and we will contact the crew to inform them. We do our utmost to return lost property however our yachts are sometimes chartered twice in one day and we cannot therefore be held responsible for any items left onboard once your charter has ended. We highly recommend that you collect your lost property within 24 hours.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit is required for all charters against the possibility of damage to the yacht, loss of equipment or late return. The amount, payable cash on embarkation, varies according to the charter operator, location and size of yacht.

ALCOHOL
You are permitted to bring your own alcohol however it is the responsibility of the Captain to ensure that guests do not compromise the safety of themselves or the yacht due to excessive alcohol consumption. In addition to the above, the marinas in Abu Dhabi have strict regulations regarding disembarking charter clients and will not tolerate loud or unruly behavior on their premises. Please ensure that all your guests are familiar with the standards of behavior expected onboard the yacht and in the marina.

RECREATION LIABILITY INDEMNITY
No liability is accepted for any personal injury during any recreational activity including swimming,fishing, parasailing or any other water sports.
